Emilia-Romagna is the heartland of central Italy, a broad corridor encompassing the hills and plains of the Po Valley. With rich agricultural land, thriving industry and historical cities, it has long been one of the most prosperous regions of Italy. The landscape here is as varied as it's people. From the tiny fishing huts dotted along the broad wetlands of the Po River Delta, the music and food loving peoples of Modena, to the stunning landscape of the "Marches" there is something in Emilia-Romagna for every one.

This part of Italy's eastern seaboard is also a summertime mecca for northern Europeans. Almost any outdoor activity you can think of is readily available, and the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
